This refillable burgundy leather bound notepad comes in A5 size and is a great accessory for anyone who loves making notes in style. It is perfect for work or travelling and is an ideal gift for any occasion.
The journals leather cover is handmade-to-order in Kent, England, in the finest Italian cowhide leather.
We love this leather, its beautiful texture and stylish burgundy colour. It is durable and luxuriously soft to touch. The brand logo is embossed on the back. The leather covers are available in seventeen colours.
The corners are rounded and the edges are finished using a specialist hot iron and after that a coat of water-resistant dye in dark brown is applied to keep them smooth and polished.
We use matching strong bonded nylon thread to top stitch the leather cover all around.
Each A5 hardback notebook/refill comes with matching elastic strip and pen holder (there is a slit for the pen holder on the leather cover), a ribbon bookmark and an additional pocket at the back with a brand logo embossed at the front in gold. Each has 80 sheets (160 sides) of lined paper. Refills are available to purchase separately in ten different colours to match the leather cover.

Letters are 8mm high (all capitals) and will be embossed in gold or blind (no colour) at the front right bottom corner. The maximum number of letters available, including spaces, numbers and special characters like dash, full stop and back slash, is eight.

Handmade in England
Each product is meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans in England with great attention to detail, using traditional leather making techniques. The products are handmade in the finest Italian full-grain leather, which is beautifully soft and only gets better with age. The raw edges of the leather are finished using a specialist hot iron and after that a few coats of water-resistant dye in dark brown is applied to keep them smooth and polished.
Leathercraft is an intricate and mesmerising process. It can take weeks, even months, to take the product from an initial idea to the final prototype, depending on the complexity of the design and detail involved.
About the Designer
Anya says: “It is so fulfilling to observe how, from a flat piece of leather, a three-dimensional product appears that is not only beautiful but also practical and useful. Sometimes I look at some of my complex products and can hardly believe I handmade them myself! The amount of work that goes into making bags is incredible".
Born in Riga, Latvia, when it was still part of the USSR, Anya’s childhood was marked by the typical Soviet challenges: no access to foreign goods and limited exposure to Western culture. Anya compensated for this, like a lot of Russians, by involving herself vigorously in classical Russian arts such as ballet, gymnastics, piano-playing and fine art. From an early age, with the encouragement of her mother, Anya also learnt to make herself beautiful clothes and accessories.
Her creative flair led her to study architecture and then interior design in Riga. Later, she was talent-spotted by the Central Saint Martins’s College of Art and Design in London, and after graduating from there she undertook a degree in Product Design Development for Leather Accessories at the London College of Fashion.
